Passion for experting...
I am often asked why I am so passionate about expert witnessing. My answer is always the same; experting a case is one of the few aspects of litigation that a lawyer can totally control, that can greatly affect the outcome. In short, it is ours to lose.
So with that said, I believe it is imperative for any trial lawyer and trial team member to hire the best possible experts for litigation. Good experts are a dime a dozen, but truly great experts, require time and attention from the entire legal team.
Whenever an expert witness is needed, the person responsible for selecting, investigating, prepping and ultimately presenting expert witnesses must have the knowledge and confidence to find the best expert for the case.
